Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread is a wonderful site with daily devotionals and personal essays about what it means to be a Christian in today's complex and confusing world.

Organize with Confidence

Elizabeth Hagen, the brilliant woman author of Organize with Confidence, is a Godsend! I've read many books on getting and staying organized and found hers to be the very best. Getting organized, physically and spiritually, is hard work. The principles outlined in Organize with Confidence make it a lot easier.

Health & Beauty Resources

Many of these sites are commercial sites with products available for sale.

I want you to know that while I recommend these sites for the information they offer, and sometimes recommend the products they sell, I am not affiliated with any of them. I will not benefit in any way from your clicking on these links, they are for informational purposes only.

That said, I hope you find useful tips or information here. If you have a health and beauty tip you'd like me to share with others, please contact me and let me know.

Silver Creek Labs

Valerie Saxon is a doctor of naturopathy with strong beliefs about helping people in as natural a way as possible. Her site is full of great information, with archives of the notes from her show and a free weekly alternative health newsletter.

Oleda

This site is where I found my exercise band, mentioned on page 20 in my book, and I can't imagine now how I ever got along without it. It is a simple tool and travels well--a good thing since I'm on the road a lot.

Omega Health Benefits

I take Omega 3 daily as one of my supplements. Dr. Scranton's Omega Health Benefits website mentions lots of reasons why it, and other essential fatty acids, help us feel better. It is also mentioned in my book, on page 23.

Health Direct

If you don't have ready access to a local health food store the way I do, then Health Direct may be a good alternative for finding all-natural solutions to the health and beauty issues that accompany us as we gain wisdom (and get older!).

Fashion for Real Women

Image Consultant Diana Pemberton-Sikes' site is full of good information on dressing to suit the occasion, wardrobe basics, and more. She also has a free fashion tips ezine you can sign up for, the Clothing Chronicles, and an image blog to help you keep up to date with the fashion world.

Dressing Well

Mary Lou Andre's Dressing Well is a great source of information on how to determine the clothing styles that best flatter your figure, how to dress well on a budget, and lots more. Dressing Well is also affiliated with a great cause, Dress for Success, a charity that provides professional clothes and career counseling to disadvantaged women trying to get on their feet.

Serious Skin Care

I use their primer before applying my makeup to help smooth things out.

Genie Instant Line Smoother

A hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, alcohol-free serum to help temporarily mask bags and wrinkles around the eyes.
